Nicholasville KY is a town of over 16,000 residents located in Jessamine County. The community was established by General John Nicholas and is named after his family. Since 1823, the community has been the county seat, making it one of Kentucky’s oldest towns. Nearby attractions include Ashland, home of Henry Clay; Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill; Blue Licks Battlefield State Park, known for its Civil War history; General Butler State Resort Park; Historic Locust Grove site that served as George Rogers Clark’s headquarters during the Revolutionary War, and Wilmore City Hall which was once owned by race car driver Wendell Scott.
Nicholasville KY is also surrounded by beautiful wineries such as Jeptha Creed Winery , Fox Hollow Vineyards, and Mount Pleasant Winery.
Nicholasville is a great city, close to Lexington but still has a small town feel with so many things to do! I would highly recommend Nicholasville KY for anyone who is looking for a family-friendly community that goes above and beyond in the entertainment department!
